Annie graduated in 2014 with honors from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy. Originally from Quebec, she is a true Albertan at heart. She moved to the Rockies in 1999 and recently relocated to the beautiful Foothills. She couldn’t be happier with her choice. What a stunning place!
Annie’s passion lies in therapeutic massage, but she can also provide a very good relaxation massage if that’s what you’re looking for. She tailors her treatment to your specific needs and goals, using a combination of techniques including deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping, relaxation, and TMJ. Her style of massage is focused and specific. She can provide a deep, firm pressure. Annie’s intention is to get you back to optimal health, so you can enjoy whatever activities make you happy and smile. She truly cares about helping you speed up your recovery, decrease your pain and tension, and improve your mobility, so you can work and play better. In her spare time and to keep balance, Annie loves going for a mountain bike ride or a trail run, gardening, and hanging out with her furry friend, who loves taking her out for a walk in nature, and cuddling with her at any hour of the day. One of Annie’s favorite things is to have a good laugh, the kind that really hurts your abs and your cheeks! |
Growing up in a small southern Manitoba town I loved participating in school and community sports. Volleyball, ringette, running, and swimming were childhood favorites. Entering into adulthood I enjoyed trying new activities including hockey, triathlons, crossfit, and mountain biking. Since moving to Alberta, I have added hiking, paddle boarding, and cross-country skiing to the list! Exercise, working out, and playing sports provide an important mental outlet for me. Physical activity truly is so good for the body and mind. I love to be active, and know how that can take a toll on the body.
Massage therapy college was a natural fit for me. I love physical work and recognize firsthand the benefits of massage therapy. I graduated with the Academic Achievement Award from the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba in January of 2011. With 12+ years of experience, I’m excited to bring my expertise to the beautiful Diamond Valley. New to the area, but not to the profession, I look forward to building a clientele and helping each person I treat to better their self. Book a massage and help your muscles release and your mind relax. Much of my experience is in deep tissue treatment, but I am diligent in tailoring treatments to the needs of each client. I enjoy adding cupping into treatments for a more intense myofascial approach, or easing pressure to achieve a relaxation massage, depending on my client’s goals. I recognize that though I am knowledgeable in massage therapy, my clients are the experts of their own bodies. It takes working together to achieve the best results. |
My certifications and education include RMT, RYT working with myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, craniosacral and intraoral. I love more than anything getting rid of a headache or helping to ease the symptoms of a concussion. Being the conduit for relieving pain is hard to beat in general; but being someone that people can truly trust and be comfortable around is what really satisfies my soul. Massage is a phenomenal tool to help ease the many levels of discomfort people have; and I am continuously grateful to use it & learn from every individual. My style now is focused on myofascial release, with elements of lymphatic drainage and cranio present in every treatment. Depending on the person I might use a significant amount of pressure, or a feather-light touch; but it is always patient.
Outside of massaging I am a mom to a wonderful little dude (best thing that's ever happened to me) I'm also an avid birder and explorer! I love hiking, biking, swimming, paddleboarding, archery & just meditating in a quiet outdoor space. |
